EVERYDAY CLINICAL DENTAL PHOTOGRAPHY: Setup, documentation and workflow.
The advent of digital photography has allowed dentists to document their cases, not only for legal record keeping, but more so for patient education, laboratory communication and self critique. The challenge most beginners face when first implementing photography into their daily practice is the overwhelming options of equipment and settings to consider. Over the years I have developed a series of protocols to simplify the workflow that captures the maximum amount of clinical data with the minimum inventory, time and learning curve.
In this workshop, we will learn about the basic DSLR setup needed for routine dental documentation, simplified camera settings, protocols on mirror placement and patient positioning, as well as tips on how to implement dental photography in everyday practice.
